El cheburek es un tipo de empanadilla rusa, de tamaños muy variados, en la cual la masa (hecha solamente de harina, agua y sal, sin levadura) se dobla en forma de media luna y se rellena con una mezcla de carne finamente picada y cebolla. Es un plato de origen tártaro (de nuevo), que es muy popular en todos los países de la antigua Unión Soviética. Como cualquier tipo de empanadilla, la receta original es susceptible a multitud de variantes, con queso, patatas, champiñones, repollo, huevos, arroz, etc.

El cheburek fue un tipo de comida rápida muy popular en la Unión Soviética y que todavía hoy se puede encontrar en muchos puestos de la calle. Muy rico y recomendable.

IMG_3624Cheburek is a kind of Russian stuffed pastry, available in different sizes, in which the dough (made only by flour, water and salt, no yeast) is bent in half, in the shape of half-moon and is stuffed with a mixed finely chopped meat and onion. It is a dish of Tartar origin (again), which is very popular in all countries of the former Soviet Union. As any kind of pastry, the original recipe can be modified, with cheese, potato, mushrooms, cabbage, eggs, rice, etc.

The cheburek was a kind of a very popular fast food during the Soviet Union that still can be found in many street stalls. Very tasty and recommendable.
